In the United States and Canada, a guarantee to purchase a house will often include a contingency that the engagement is not valid until a central inspector has inspected the estate (and the deposition will routinely provide for how problems found in inspection are to be remedied). In many states and provinces, bungalow inspectors are prerequisite to be licensed, but in multitudinous states the profession is not regulated at all. Habitual requirements for obtaining a license are to complete an approved training manner and/or to passage an examination selected by the state's licensing board
